During my exploration of your tour website, I noticed that the chatbot feature is not functioning properly. This can lead to confusion for first-time users who may rely on the chatbot to find information about tours, local attractions, or travel tips. When users encounter a non-functional chatbot, they may feel frustrated or lost, as they cannot access the assistance they need to enhance their planning and decision-making process. The absence of an effective chatbot can significantly diminish the overall user experience, leading to decreased engagement and satisfaction. Users expect seamless interactions, and without a working chatbot, they might leave the site feeling unsupported in their travel planning efforts.
Expected behavior
I propose to fix and enhance the chatbot functionality on the website to provide users with a more interactive and engaging experience. The chatbot can serve as a virtual travel assistant, offering personalized responses to users’ inquiries about itineraries, weather conditions, local attractions, and travel tips. Users could ask specific questions, such as:
"What are the top attractions in [destination]?"
"Can you suggest an itinerary for a 3-day trip?"
While I don’t know how to create a chatbot from scratch, I can use a tool I’ve been working with to build a functional one.
By making the chatbot operational, users will have access to tailored information in real-time, improving their engagement with the website. This functionality will also alleviate the frustration of searching for information elsewhere, as users can get answers directly from the chatbot without navigating through multiple pages.
If you find this issue/proposed solution suitable, please assign this to me under the labels of GSSoC and Hacktoberfest and appropriate level.
