What OS are you running on it?
Try the hk1-rbox-x4-vfd or tanix-x4-vfd and see if anything is displayed on screen.
In case nothing is displayed, please post a dmesg log.

Hi!

Ok, those specific vfd.conf files will only work with the latest nightly builds.
I think that the best option to start with is to check the pin configuration in Android.
Install Terminal Emulator in Android and run the following command:
cat /sys/kernel/debug/gpio
I'll need the output, similar to what you see in this post:

You'd have to try and configure the display in the OpenVFD add-on's advanced window.
Set the following:

  • Enable advanced settings
  • Display type: 2
  • Controller type: 0
  • Common anode display: Checked
  • Index 3: 2.
You can use Index 2 (it should be the SETUP icon) to try and figure out which numeric index fits which icon.
Since I don't have the box, it'd be useful for me to get the correct order list of indexes. Like which icon is fits which index.

@Sheredeka Any updates?

Hi, I'll get busy at the end of the week. There is no access to this device at the moment. I will definitely write the result.

@Sheredeka I know it has been quite a while, but did you end up fixing the icons?

Hi! I'm sorry I didn't answer in time.
I returned the android firmware to this device and gave it to a friend.
Unfortunately, I can't answer for sure whether it works now or not.
I think if it didn't work, this branch would be replenished with records.
Thank you for your hard work!
