I think it makes more sense to remove the overall word prevalence (marginal) before creating the word cloud. FOr example, you could tabulate relevance {​​yes, no}​​ x word and then take the chi-square residual, or just the difference of each word proportion with the overall proportion ("row profile", rowwise percentages), then make the word cloud
