WebOne also have "dirty local" mode. Probably it also should be renamed.
However, I think it will be better if WebOne fill fix all relative URLs to absolute in "local mode". But this is not well implemented currently. |

Decided to call it "alternate access mode". And also it is now working with old browsers like WinMosaic 0.7. |

In early builds of WebOne I have noticed that I can access WebOne through modern browsers without setting it as a proxy server in browser settings. Then I've used URLs like http://localhost/http://example.com . So this is why the feature is called "local mode". After initial debugging, the "local mode" was kept and begin available to every client, especially for those which can't connect via proxies.
Some time later the server moved from slow handmade TCP/HTTP-server code to fast&stable Microsoft's HTTP library, and WebOne lacks ability to be accessed in "local mode" from browsers without
Host
header (e.g. all before 1996, exactly that dinosaurs without proxy support :) ). Probably this will be fixed some time later.Seems that the old name is not correct for the feature. How it should be better called in documentation in future?
So I'm asking community. :)
