Feature request: check python version

As Python 3.7.2 is not so common and as people don't read the doc, It would be great to check the current python version.

Snippet:

import sys
MIN_PYTHON = (3, 7, 2)
if sys.version_info < MIN_PYTHON:
    sys.exit("Python %s.%s.%s or later is required.\n" % MIN_PYTHON)
