Audio playing too slow

Hi,
your project is looking really good, but i have one major issue with it:

The audio plays too slow, like 2-4 times too slow.
When i play around with the SAMPLE_RATE value, it changes a bit but never reaches the original speed.
It feels like the CPU is just not fast enough.

Im using an ESP32-S3 like you on your devboard.
But i have WiFi enabled - May that slow the audio down?
