Hi,
I just want to check if it was necessary to wire all the ground pins and VBUS pins to LEDs because a couple of sources online and page 45 the official USB Type-C specification (USB Type-C Spec R2.3 - October 2023) seem to indicate that they are internally wired together ("within the plug").

Also some other ones may be wired together due to reversibility but I'm a bit hazy on that - could someone clarify this? From what I understand, there are 2 extra data lanes consisting of 4 wires each (a TX and RX differential pair) totalling 8 wires.

I think I read somewhere that the cable intelligently knows which lane is which makes me think there's no need for duplicate pins for reversibility and so all 8 pins are necessary and hence actually wired. Pretty sure the d+ and d- pins are duplicated so there's only need to test 1 pair.

Thanks again.
