redmine_custom_field_hints 0.0.3 causes Redmine internal error when navigating to custom fields (Redmine 2.3.2.stable.12119) #2

Clicking on "Custom fields" in the Administration screen results in the following message:

Internal error

An error occurred on the page you were trying to access.
If you continue to experience problems please contact your Redmine administrator for assistance.

If you are the Redmine administrator, check your log files for details about the error."

/var/log/apache2/error.log contains the following message:

[notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[notice] Apache/2.2.22 (Debian) Phusion_Passenger/3.0.13 configured -- resuming normal operations
