Background

Heyall,
Love the work on Adaptive Lighting. I had been running my own custom built scripts before I got a Home Assistant installation recently.

Issue

However, in the process of migrating, I hit multiple snags along the way. Such as :

  • Scenes changes were not applying manual control.
Despite the correct setting in the Adaptive Lighting Integration configuration.
  • "Light turn on"s would not immediately be at the correct setting and had to adapt a second time.
Despite the correct setting in the Adaptive Lighting Integration configuration.
  • Having a gradual turn off transition was being interrupted by Adaptive Lighting refreshing it's application.

And ALL of these were fixed.

As far as I have searched. This is not in the Readme.md nor is it in the Documentation.
It would have saved A LOT of time.

Fix

So please, for everyone's sake, add a disclaimer to the Readme.md saying something along the lines of :

⚠️ HUE groups(rooms) and scenes are known to cause issues, please use Home Assistant ones to ensure maximal compatibility

Thank you.

🙏

Hue groups were fixed a few month ago, but I agree with the outstanding issue with Hue scenes
