I'm not sure if this is a bug or it's intentional, but compacting drawers only compact cobblestone up to 2x. Putting anything higher than that in a compacting drawer just puts it in the top slot with the bottom two slots empty.

It wouldn't matter so much if it wasn't for the fact that there are quests and recipes attached to some of the higher tiers of compressed cobblestone. Having to manually craft 36 5x from 2x is not a fun use of my time, honestly. It took so long that I ended up just making 36 4x and make a miner for it, then making 36 5x from that after it had mined enough, and switching out the 4x underneath the miner.

I tried using the autocrafting tables to do it as well, but they are useless for that purpose, since they don't respect the recipe you assign to them. They will only auto-pull ingredients that match the recipe, but if what they have in the grid is a valid recipe they will craft it, even if it isn't the recipe they've been locked to. In most cases this doesn't matter, but for compressed cobblestone it does. When you have a recipe assigned to upcraft for instance 2x into 3x, and you put a stack of 2x into a container above the table, it will craft 7 3x and then downcraft the final 2x into 9 1x, gumming up the next crafter in the process.

I'm guessing that the last problem is with the autocrafting tables themselves and not the modpack, so the description of that issue is mostly just for information purposes.
