BrewBlox is supported directly by iSpindel since version 6.5.1. This deprecates the need of this BrewBlox service which is no longer supported.
Here is the new way to configure your iSpindel to report to BrewBlox:
-
Make sure your
docker-compose.yml
exposes MQTT port (default is 1883). -
Make sure you are using a firmware version >= 6.5.1 on your iSpindel
-
Start your iSpindel in AP mode and configure the BrewBlox access:
Server Address
: name or IP of Brewblox/MQTT brokerServer Port
: MQTT port which is 1883 by defaultPath / URI
: must be set tobrewcast/history
which is the topic for the history serviceUsername and Password
: empty for now, MQTT authentication is not yet supported on Brewblox side
Once the iSpindel has sent some data, you should see its metrics when configuring the widget:
The iSpindel is a DIY wireless hydrometer and thermometer used to gather live readings of specific gravity and temperature when brewing beer.
BrewBlox is a modular brewery control system design to work with the BrewPi controller.
The archived BrewBlox iSpindel service is still accessible using the tag v0.4.0.
