Various Issues

Hi Ben,

This plugin seems to have several issues at the moment and it appears that development / maintenance is sadly dead.

Firstly I just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work on this plugin, it's used by a lot of people and provides functionality that no other plugin appears to provide.

Secondly, I'd like to BEG you to pick this plugin up again and please get this back to it's former glory.

Lastly, if you aren't able / willing to resume this thing, then I'd just like to say a final thank you for all your work on it, before asking if you know of any alternative plugin that offers similar functionality?

Thanks for your feedback and i’m Glad you liked the functionality of this plugin.

Unfortunately my work on this plugin did tail off after clients I had using the plugin no longer required it, and I was unable to dedicate time to maintaining it.

Looking through the WP forums I see you have been active helping on some users threads - thank you.

I agree that user expiry functionality is really useful so I will try to have a quick look over and test of the plugin at some point to see if I can easily identify and resolve any of the issues.

I will accept code contributions and fixes if anyone is able to contribute via Github.

I've had a quick look over to see if there are any quick simple fixes...

I've been through the forum and identified several major issues that have been posted.
Which ones have you encountered that are really important to fix as a priority:

I've made several updates if you are able to test this version:
https://github.com/benhuson/expire-users/tree/release/1.0.4

It fixes several things:

1. Increase authenticate hook priority to 100 so that it is less likely to be overridden by other plugins.
2. Fix error when user tries to reset password - this may also fix an issue which prevents people logging in when they should be able to you.

If you have encountered either of those things are you able to check it that is fixed for you in the above version?

Hi Ben, Thanks for getting to work so soon. I faced several issues and got around them one way or another, so I can’t think of them at the moment. I’m also away for a couple of weeks so, I can’t currently dig through my notes.
