FAQ and Troubleshooting
Here are a few tutorial videos I made for you that you might find useful, they are pretty easy to follow and go over the different editors within the app.
You can't use this app without a switch running the custom firmware, Atmosphere. Installing custom firmware is beyond the scope of this app, follow a guide and install that first.
You may use catalogue mode without a hacked switch, but only with the order bot I develop.
Firstly, try restarting your console, this fixes 90% of issues. Your joy-con HOME button must glow on startup for sys-botbase to have been installed correctly.
If that doesn't work, make sure you have an empty file called boot2.flag under your flags folder found at 430000000000000B/flags/
If that still doesn't work, check your firewall, connection settings, vpn settings (should be off) and make sure your ip is correctly entered into the app.
Firstly, make sure you are using the latest version of the app and are on the latest update version of ACNH. Most people having this issue have forgotten to update their game to the latest version or are using an older version of the app. Ensure you have the latest version of sys-botbase installed too.
If you have plugins loaded, or using cheats then holding L while starting up the game will usually put you at the right inventory offset.
If that fails, you can turn off validation in the settings and try reading RAM again and see if you get the correct inventory values.
If you have an offset error, consider checking out the offset error troubleshooting page, but you should turn off cheats and RAM-manipulating plugins first.
When I Read RAM, I get either 1) an empty inventory or 2) an inventory full of different items I don't recognise or 3) another player's inventory
From 1.6.0 onwards, the way the game sets your inventory offset has been changed. If you are the only player/profile on your island, this wont affect you. If you have multiple players on your island, indexes will change depending on the player you're currently playing as. The player index can be changed in the settings (gear in the top left corner) as always. I recommend you "fetch names" from the settings if you're running into trouble to see whose inventory you are changing.
When I write my changes, my inventory becomes full of empty delivery boxes, empty gifts or similar OR when I edit the map, all my tiles have empty dig stars on them.
Try restarting your switch, then immediately loading the game while pressing L so that no other plugins/cheats are loaded, or turn these off manually. Ensure you are using sys-botbase 1.6 or newer.
The game counts 0 as the first of an item. If the top limit of an item stack is 10, you need to give yourself a count of 9, for example. If you give yourself an item count past the top limit, it will turn into 0 (1 item) in game.
Sys-botbase is crashing, usually because you have too many logs or a low quality sd card. Either delete all crash/fatal reports from the atmosphere folder, re-install atmosphere or try a different sd card.
Short answer: No, switch to Atmosphere.
Long answer: I can't verify whether or not this works on SXOS because I don't have a console running this. If you have SXOS 3.0.2 you can try the following posted by reddit user u/diabesity:
-
Install SXOS_beta_v3.0.2 (or a later version) by copying the boot.dat to your sdcard.
-
Download sysbotbase.zip, extract to sdcard:/sxos/titles folder (not the default atmosphere path)
the new folder structure should look like this:
-
turn on your switch, connect to wifi and determine the ip address from the network settings (in previous versions of sxos I would get error codes on boot.)
-
Install ACNHMobileSpawner apk on a device on the same network as the switch.
-
alternatively modify this simple script to confirm you can control the switch: https://github.com/olliz0r/sys-botbase/blob/master/example_PokemonSwSh_SurpriseTrade.py
