The manual shows how to set UART and SPI modes, but offers no clue how one would go about setting STEP/DIR mode for a driver like the TMC2208, for example.

It offers a handy table that doesn't show what the results mean, vaguely discusses the caveats of STEP/DIR mode, but never actually tells the user how to set the mode.

Something like this example would be much better.
