Additional Context

This is the same problem as in 12914 but in a different place and in the web vault and not browser extension.

Changing the appearence of the drop down to what I propsed in 12914 would work.

Also, the approach of using a dropdown seems a bit weird since dropdowns are normally used for selecting a single item and not multiple items. I think using check boxes or radio buttons would be more sufficient but not sure how that would look given all the sub-collection paths.

Another possilbe approve would be allowing us to select the parent collection and then that cascading down to all sub-collections. Then if there is a sub-collection we do not want to give access to, then have another screen or something to deselect that sub-collection. Almost like Windows NTFS and breaking inheritance.

Also, once you get to a certain number of collections selected, you can no longer select anymore collections.
This could be prevented if there was a "Select all" option as that is what I am trying to do.

#12914 is the web browser extension dealing with assigning items to a collection.

This report is for the vault, dealing with assigning permissions to a collection.

These are totally different issues.
