Unable to create plots on windows 7 machine with MMA 10

Mysteriously, I am able to create plots using the IPython notebook and pythonica, but not with this ipython magic extension. It seems as if the png files are not being written to the temporary directory. It might be a permissions problem, but that does not explain why it works in the IPython notebook with pythonica.

Any help appreciated.
