Is there any API I can use to share images in direct messages ?

I am planning to use image picker to upload images or whatever library is being used but is there functionality in the api to upload images that is handling direct messages if so where should I start integrating it ? I am talking about this bluesky-social/social-app#6389

chat.bsky does not support images/media for now. This was an intentional policy decision for the service/infrastructure that we operate.

A recommendation for now is to use DMs to share contact info, them move to a more full-featured chat channel like Signal or Matrix.

If you have an image in a bluesky post you can open the image in a new tab to get the uri and paste that into the chat.
