Proposal for external links

Content providers want to be rewarded for their work-- they want to be paid. Bluesky users want to read content on external sites with minimal fuss. I propose that when a user clicks on an (approved?) external link Bluesky adds a charge to their account-- and assesses a charge for Bluesky. This fee grants access to the entire content on the linked page-- but only that page. Bluesky would provide an API that would enable content providers to configure pages for this feature. I'm thinking the fee should be just a few pennies per click. And the user should have the ability to accept or decline, as well as the ability to see the full amount charged to date (or YTD, MTD). This feature would encourage content providers to create informative and entertaining material by giving them an easy to implement revenue stream.
