A GitHub Pages website for Fluent Metro.

That’s a good idea. I currently have a small site here, but it’s not of much purpose since it’s almost the same as the main readme file. If you want, you can make some changes to it or add HTML. I would probably eventually add some sort of directory system, but I don’t have any specific plans yet.

Is there anything that needs to go on the website other than the readme information?

Not currently, but it might be good to have some sort of wiki/documentation eventually. The readme is a good place to start for now.
