starting conversations

Is there any way to start a new conversation from gurk itself, because that'd be awesome. If not I think it should be added.
Pretty impressive though app, just started using it.

There is Ctrl+P to select a channel. We could add there all contacts that don't have a conversation yet.

I'd like to be able to message a phone-number or username that exists in signal.
