Currently, in the "associated authority records" field of the people articles, I can add mulitple name_facets that then show up as related maps on the published page, ie:
I'd love the ability to add subject_facets as well

The associated authority records is what connects a person to a map, right? We already have a different way to connect subjects to maps -- since they're our subjects.
I did add the field to the admin people page: https://argo.stage.diedrick.com/admin/people.php/1
...so maybe add a few and that'll help me make connection then. (Just tell me where that connection would appear on the front end.)
BTW, it'll help if we always include a URL for any issue to make sure we're not guessing at what page we're talking about.
My reason for wanting this is that sometimes the connection people have to the maps is not through the name facet, but in the subject facet — for example, the Clements Library has a huge collection of maps owned by Sir Henry Clinton, and this relationship is made clear through a subject tag—Clinton Maps—which will be coming in with their metadata rather than as a name facet. I'd like to be able to write—or have someone else write—an article about Clinton and have it auto-link to all of the maps with the "Clinton Maps" tag. I can see similar uses for some of the event- or location-based subject tags which we get in the metadata.
