I been thinking about this every once in a while, but I am not so sure if it is a good idea:

  • It's a lot of data to be collected and delivered to the front end
  • One reason for having static images is for making daily snapshots of the site. For archiving I prefer a static image rather than data plus rendering on demand

One the other hand, it would be quite nice to have. Maybe we'll figure out a solution that fits all use cases...
