The program does not start #15
Comments
Same question for you #16 (comment) |
Deleting all files from the plugin folder works. I guess the Copilot integration doesn't work - espacially with German version. |
Is the WebView2 engine or the Edge browser still installed on your system? |
Edge Browser is installed Version 129.0.2792.52 and beta. WebView is also installed. |
Thanks. Could you please test this dev version? It should throw a more precise exception indicating which plugin is causing the issues |
Just tried |
The folder is complete like the screenshot above. I tried to start it from C: drive - same result. |
Could you please test the recently uploaded build https://github.com/builtbybel/SuperMSConfig/releases/tag/1.3.1? It fixes the issue you described, and the Copilot should no longer have problems on any system 😉 |
|
Great, with this releas it runs on my system :-) |
As I wrote here 2 days ago: #16 (comment) Version 1.3.1.19 does not start on Windows 10. The bad thing is that all previous versions have been deleted from this repository. |
SuperMSConfig v.1.3.5.0 - https://github.com/builtbybel/SuperMSConfig/releases/tag/1.3.5/ Version 1.3.5.0 does not start on Windows 10. |
Thanks, will take a look at it later |

Version 1.4.0 does not start on Windows 10. https://github.com/builtbybel/SuperMSConfig/releases/tag/1.4.0/ |
When exactly does this happen? Right at the start or after triggering an action? Is the program and all its folders fully unpacked? Can you please copy the details of the error message in here? |
This bug started after version 1.3 was released. It has been with this error ever since. As you wrote for version 1.4.0 - it initially starts after a few seconds and immediately after that it brings up this error window, which error is probably the same one I posted a week ago here: https://github.com/builtbybel/SuperMSConfig /issues/16#issuecomment-2380054568 This error window appears every time the program is started. Here is the error message:
Good thing I have SuperMSConfig version v.1.2.0.100, because there this error is not there. You have deleted all previous versions. In my previous post I showed a picture and with a red arrow how the Two weeks ago here: #10 (comment) I posted a comment with an attached picture that showing the extensions is wrong, but it remained unchanged and has not been addressed in any next version. I admit that after version 1.2.0.100 the new versions as a vision of how they look - I don't like them, they are very patterned and their functionality is lost. As if in previous versions (for example 1.2.0.100) the program seemed more functional and was more convenient for me. |
Is this attached version running properly on your system? Could you please check if the old version and the new version contain the same files, especially in the plugins folder? |
I downloaded and unzipped the file you attached: The result is: The program does not start. The error is exactly the same. I don't need to repost a photo with the same error and I don't need to post the dozens of lines of errors, they are the same, in my previous opinion they are there, let's not dilute the topic with endlessly long details. I don't know if I understand you correctly, but this attachment contains version I compared version The difference is that the subfolder In other words, I compared your version After testing I definitely found that removing the PluginClipilot folder with all its contents started the program without a problem. This is on a Windows 10 system. The same scenario applies to version Apparently PluginClipilot folder with all its contents is problematic for Windows 10. I'll write it again - for me as a design version 1.2.0.100 is much better, much more convenient to use than any subsequent version. I am attaching your version that you uploaded a few weeks ago and I have kept it for myself. You can compare if necessary - with a view to finding the problem. |
I've attached the version because I had exactly suspected this. Regardless, the app for Windows 10 was never authorized by me. It’s likely that the Edge WebView 2 engine or the Edge browser is not installed on your system!?, which is why you're getting the error message. It wasn’t clear before, but it is now. As for the design decision, i can't comment on that |
For me, it is more important that the program works on Windows 10. The IoT version of Windows 10 provides the possibility of use until the year 2032, which is a long perspective of using Windows 10. As for the design solution - it's good that I have |
