Research Task - Freight Oversized/Overweight vehicle Permit Routing Map

This project is looking at the [Authorized Highways] field.

• The goal is to parse the data found in the Authorized Highways field to display the routes on an ArcGIS Map

• No required end date

  • Currently have: the datasets, historical up to 2024
  • Need: to parse and map the data

• Tasks Required:

• parse the data, create intersections, geospatially identify those intersections, display the routes on an ArcGIS

• Looking to identify the various roadways that will be taken by the vehicle as they travel from their origin to their destination.

• I expect to be able to display the routes on an ArcGIS map, potentially to highlight areas where improvements can be made to move the freight along more efficiently and/or sustainably.
