Basic rules

• If the translation is already translated or approved, no TM merge will happen.

• Untranslated, Fuzzy, Rejected translation in TM are discarded.

• Different string are discarded.

• Similar string (but not identical) can at most become fuzzy.

• If mismatch detected, then the final state should be determined by mismatch resolution.

Columns

• Current State: The state of the text flow target in current version.

• State in TM: The state of the corresponding target in Translation Memory

• String similarity: Whether the two source messages are identical (100%), reach the specified similarity threshold (similar), or different.

• Mismatch Detected: At least one of Project/Document ID/Context mismatch are detected.

• Mismatch Resolution: The final action to perform if mismatch is detected.

• Copy: Whether to copy the string from translation memory.

• Final State: The final state of the message become.
