The current workflow file for the transition action uses ubuntu-latest which does not come bundled with R any more: https://github.com/carpentries/lesson-transition/actions/runs/12672332170/workflow#L17

This needs to be changed to ubuntu-22.04 to avoid this error: https://github.com/carpentries/lesson-transition/actions/runs/12672332170/job/35316123256
