A individual from living in Pai, Thailand is looking for a solution to look at the fires lite by people in the valleys around the Pai town. These fires are small and localized causing damage to local ecosystem and effecting the air quality of the town.

Burn areas is one of the landcover classes that I'm working with right now. But active burn sites is something that I can already see in Sentinel-2 image. Definitely worth looking into!

Now the kind of burns in Pai could be very small and localized. Not quite sure if such burns could be detected.

Detection of small fires and even charred remains of recent fires have always been of interest to human rights activists who couldn't physical visit the areas.
