I'm interested in being able to copy the text inside the child frame. I wonder whether the command is something to consider inside the eldoc-box package directly, to move the point inside the child frame and out with another command. It shouldn't be intrusive to normal usage, but I have seen other communities have something like K (evil bindings) to pop-up documentation and another K call to focus the child frame.
What do you think? Please, redirect me to the correct forum if creating an issue is not the right place for suggestions!
Best,
Quique.

Sorry for the (super) late reply :-) Right now you can use your mouse pointer to click the childframe to focus it, sometimes I just use the mouse to drag over the portion that I want to copy. The cursor is invisible but you still get highlight for the selected region.
I can also add a command that switches focus to the childframe and back.
