The primary purpose of this project was having scans with allowed vulnerabilities. When we initially wanted to use Anchore Grype, this wasn't a feature in the underlying scanner. For sometime now, this is a feature (see https://github.com/anchore/grype#specifying-matches-to-ignore).

Rather than simply pulling the plug on this project we should:

1. Create a shim version of this project that has has the same API, but converts the provided data into a Grype configuration file. This file is then shown to the user.
2. Provide migration documentation.
3. When the previous step has been completed, announce an end of life date. After this date, this project will be archived.
