Changes to be made on the author's detail page after curators' review:

  • Don't need Author Profile in first box. Additions will have only a temporary author profile assigned. It will be expanded and change anyways. Instead please put in email address because Authors does need this information. Currently email is off to the right side of form.

  • Move rank to right of start and end dates as this will match the order in the Editor

  • Start and end dates should be year only - no month and day

  • For Experiments, it is easier to have the "current" box at far left like it currently is because authors don't usually give start and end dates; this would save time from having to go to the far right just to check the "current" box.

  • For Links: for new authors they will not yet have an expanded BAI or an INSPIRE ID so this line can go away, unless INSPIRE wants to auto-create an expanded BAI though it still may have to be updated; if INSPIRE is going to auto-assign an INSPIRE ID, again this is not necessary if there is an ORCID in the top box and nowadays there is an ORCID 96% of the time

  • Currently github is added as a url which makes sense for it to be listed in the Links box, but Linkedin is added as an ID - maybe move Linkedin out of ID menu and list in Links box - this way everything in the Links box will be in the url field in the editor instead of being split between ids and urls (requires change in the schema and editor, not in the Holdingpen UI)

  • I assume Experiment-HEP should just read hep-ex because everything in the Subject box should be in arXiv format

  • Prof i.e. Professor should not be allowed in Advisor box

  • It's ok to put Subject and Advisor boxes next to each other like it is now - it saves scrolling down the page (to a box ((Advisor)) that's usually empty)

  • IMPORTANT: Note Box is missing where an author writes comments during submission which I need to see - it currently is on right-side underneath Submission Box.
