Original comment by Taina Jääskeläinen. CDC User Group: May not require great effort in technical sense but requires properly marked html in metadata for the URL. Also need to decide whether URLs are clickable in all elements or only in some. Not a priority for 2022. |

Discussed in User group. We received clarification on the html tags. The initial reason that this was suggested is that it gives metadata creators a control of which URLs should be clickable and which should not. But I am unsure exactly what the html tags should be in order to indicate that it is an URL. There was also raised a concern with these tags when passing the information onward to other catalogues. There might be issues with how these catalogues handle the html tags. |
