CentOS licensing has changed, and we all use Ubuntu on our workstations, so we'd like to convert the Kive servers to Ubuntu.

  • Convert the kickstart / Ansible scripts and test them out in VirtualBox.
  • Rebuild Octomore with one node, and run a bunch of samples through it.
  • Rebuild a bunch of nodes and migrate them to Octomore.
  • Switch production to use Octomore.
  • Rebuild Bulbasaur to use as the test environment.

Deployment to Octomore missed manual adjustments to /etc/kive/kive_purge.conf and /etc/kive/kive.conf. Please add steps to the deployment instructions.
