User controllable stroke-by-stroke animation

Is it possible to control the playback of the animation stroke-by-stroke. It is similar to the current "Next Stroke" but with animation. Thanks!

I actually tried to implement that feature when you opened this issue but I couldn't get it to work within 2 hours and haven't touched it since. Just wanted to give you some feedback. Generally, I think the feature would be cool, so if anybody wants to propose a PR, go for it :)
