Item Showcase block issues

The clickable area for item showcase media extends pretty much the entire content width, which can be awkward when scrolling on mobile or when there is other content nearby:

The styling for captions needs to be revised. It would be nice if the text formatting was more visually distinct (maybe a smaller line height? or italics?). and the width of the shadow box is good but doesn't conform to the visual width of anything else in the page view.
