As I said in the comments, I love the mod, and I have been using the Mechanized Sawblade as my primary weapon. As I've been holding it though, it's felt wrong that as a chainsaw it doesn't have the ability to cut down trees, or strip logs. I went looking for ways it could be done, any mods for it etc, but I'm pretty sure it needs to be built into the weapon, and it can't be an addon mod.
Describe the solution you'd like
So, my suggestion was for the chainsaw swords to have additional (perhaps not full, but even partial) axe functionality, the hammers might work as pickaxes (or maybe be able to make path blocks or something), and the scythes have some kind of hoe functionality, or be able to harvest crops quicker or something.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Really, what you decide on is fine. I just figure it's a missed opportunity given how these weapons look and how it might effect people's decisions on which ones to use.
