I believe there is a discrepancy in the displayed (recommended) citation between the metadata intake form and CKAN. I think the metadata form displays the original publication year, whereas CKAN displays the year of last revision. For example:
Metadata Form:
CKAN:
I think as per the latest DataCite recommendations, the PublicationYear in the citation is "The year when the data was or will be made publicly available." My interpretation of this would be that the year displayed on CKAN would be the correct one (the original publication year is also included in CKAN under 'Dates'). Could the recommended citation in the metadata form display the year when data was last revised (if provided)?
I believe as a result of this discrepancy the publicationYear in DataCite is also wrong.
