Things to work on during the hackathon

We can collect some ideas in this issue, particularly lists of topics with pointers to other issues or PRs. If you want to propose something and start a discussion about that topic, please create a new issue for it (perhaps as a geoclaw issue or on one of the other Clawpack repositories as appropriate), and then add a link to or from this issue.

Some possible topics:

• Improvement of kmltools and documentation, and integration with google.com/earth. See improve kmltools and documentation geoclaw#450 and Explore better integration of kml tools with earth.google.com geoclaw#451.
• Integration with ArcGIS and/or open source versions (qgis, grass) perhaps building on this work by @piyueh and @labarba.

Further development of paraview tools would be great.

We have a dev_other_vis_packages branch in clawpack/visclaw with some paraview and yt stuff, also empty visit and mayavi directories, see https://github.com/clawpack/visclaw/tree/dev_other_vis_packages/dev
