I am humbly asking you to add the optional ability for grid snapping and scaling on the 2D views which allows vertices to snap to the grid and at varying scales. It could help massively for modeling out basic things quickly. The best way to describe it would be something similar to the Hammer Editor but for 3D modeling.

Hmm, yeah there is grid snapping but the it still allows free placement. It's not like GtkRadiant (and probably Hammer) that only snap to grid. Tools -> Snap To -> Grid to enable and View -> Viewport Settings to set grid size. The snap range seems very small and slow to use.
