Describe the issue

To reproduce:

  1. Put the cursor in front of some texts
  2. Use iOS default Chinese IME and type some texts wider than the screen
  3. Keep pressing “Backspace”.

Issue:
The texts (in my example “Line2”) are deleted, which is not expected.

iOS 15.7, Safari, with iOS default Chinese IME

Can you still reproduce this on recent versions of CodeMirror? I tried for a while, but didn't see the issue happen anymore.

I tried on website editor but still works like before(iOS 17.3.1):
