Why is IEnumerable determined as not serializable

Regarding these lines in static method IsTypeSerializable:

I wonder what was the reason for IEnumerable to be explictly marked as not serializable regardless whether the class / struct is [System.Serializable]

This kinda blocks some custom serializable collections that implements IList, IDictionary, ISet and ICollection from showing up in the inspector.

ah, I see. dotnet built-in collections are all [System.Serializable]. Might need to find another way to mark serializable custom collection implementation then.
