Discussed in #96

Hi everyone,

First, I'd like to thank Greg for this solution and his initial help. I have made some progress with my Debian Linux box, however I am currently at this stage. When I select the INTERNET RADIO on my Pioneer SC-79 unit, it triggers the Unkown route message.

Could anyone please provide me some guidance on what I should focus on to resolve this.

Thanks in advance for your support to resolve this and get me using my system again.

Kind regards,

LbL

Try this one:

ytuner-1.2.6+fix99-armhf-armv7-armv8-armv9-linux.zip

Replace old YTuner v1.2.6 executable file with a new one.
Don't forget about chmod +x ytuner 😉
Let us know about the test result + YTuner console log dump. 👍

@coffeegreg

I have saved the new yTuner fix and followed your steps. I'm sorry to report that it is showing the same thing

Here are the results. Nothing showing in the yTuner console

But I did another Wireshark and the GET statement is the same. Weird that is no longer showing as a warning in the console log.

OK... wireshark file doesn't matter in this case. I think I know what the problem is... 🤔
Next try :

Well no errors but the SC79 menu does not populate. It attempted to execute but then says Track Not Found

Some progress I guess!! ;-)

It looks like Pioneer doesn't support HTTP redirects. 🤔
Try to browse. Select Menu/Main Menu/Top Menu .... or Exit.
Do you see some entries like "Favourites" or "My Stations" or "Radio Browser" ?
What do you see on YTuner console log ?

@coffeegreg
I looked directly on my Pioneer SC79 unit and via the Internet radio menu it says 'Track Not Found' and if I look at the Favorites menu it says EMPTY.

Mmm. Would the passing parameters be that much different from old to new models for the former vTuner?

I'm afraid that no one except the manufacturer and the creators of vTuner knows this.
What about YTuner console log ? Do you see some new log entries when you started browsing (tried to change menu/submenu) ?
Are you sure that you ran the YTuner with the default settings in the ytuner.ini and avr.ini files?

I'll back to this case tomorrow. I have a few new ideas on how to bring your Pioneer back to life.
I'm tired today and I need to sleep bacause tomorrow I'll go to work like every day. I live in the UTC+1.

No. On the Pioneer SC79 I am limited to the Internet Radio or Favorites menu.

Nothing new is showing on the yTuner Console log other than the DNS Service and Web Service IPs. Otherwise it is clean.

I have not changed any ini files but I know they are being read as I had tried to change ports and they were reflected on the console log. Everything is setup and being used as default

OK. I am UTC-5. I'll be away in the morning but will check when i'm back to see if you want me to test anything else. I hope we can make it work.

Take care,

LbL
