It seems like the client-side validation of the schemas for the interface values fields is missing. When adding it, the jsoneditor is not picking it up on time but rather relies on server-side validation which is not ideal.

A user complained via email.

Two-fold: the interface specific schema is never set on the editor. And when set, no errors are thrown at invalid content at the validation phase.
