There is mention of linux-ppc64le builds in #68, but there are none on Anaconda Cloud. Since r-rmarkdown now depends on pandoc, lack of linux-ppc64le is bottlenecking some R 4.3 migrations as unsolvable.

Would be nice to see this shipping such builds.

I think those builds were marked as broken. Building pandoc on ppc64le is quite a challenge.

Does upstream offers some pre-built binaries for this arch?

No and the issue was closed as essentially out of scope for their project.

Looks like we may have to consider disabling linux-ppc64le on some of our R feedstocks at least temporarily to wrap up the R 4.3 migration.

Seems Fedora builds were previously tried, but then reverted.

C.f. #108 #72 (comment)

AnacondaRecipes continues to use them, though locked at 2.2.1.

And for reference, the r-rmarkdown has the constraint pandoc >=1.14,<3.0, so that would be fine (if it actually worked).
