Relevant environment info

- OS: Ubuntu 24.04 (.devfile container image) / AL2023 latest (container host) / Windows 11 (browser, chrome & edge)
- Continue version: v0.8.52
- IDE version: Gitlab Web IDE 1.89.1 (vscode opensource)
- Model: unselectable
- config.json: default

Description

I'm running a gitlab workspaces environment, which utilizes an open source VS code web IDE. Upon installing Continue through the extensions manager (open vsx), the Continue tab is blank. Commands populate with ctrl+shift+p and key combos pop up when I highlight blocks of text, but nothing seems to happen.

@RomneyDa suggested I enable developer tools, but those aren't available in the gitlab web IDE

Additional information: Gitlab workspaces creates a pod in our cluster, which also creates a proxy for the web UI to connect to.

To reproduce

  1. Install Continue from extension manager
  2. Click on Continue tab
  3. Blank

Logs from dev console with Continue installed, after having clicked into the Continue extension.

And with Continue not installed, my dev console populates far fewer logs -- after having cleared the console and refreshing the page and clicking through the IDE normally for a few minutes:

And lastly, these are logs that populated when I just reinstalled

And when I clicked back into the Continue extension
