crashes in VSCode on debian #4010

Relevant environment info

- OS: Debian 12
- Continue version: v0.8.55 and 0.8.66
- IDE version: vscode 1.97.0
- Model:
- config.json:

Description

Hi,

I'm unable to install and run this. as soon as i install the extension, it seems to crash and vscode pops up the "extension host terminated unexpectedly 3 times within..."

I have tried restarting vscode,
running in a new profile with no other extensions enabled
running installing an older version of the continue extension

all with the same result.

I don't see a way to get suitable lots to show more info.

To reproduce

Start vscode
install the continue extension
note that after it has installed this error pops up,

Ah, i just discovered this fix:

#940 (comment)

it would be good if you could check for this and warn the user to prevent wasted time.
