No matter what we do, people seem to have bizarre amounts of difficulty figuring out how to download the game.
I think a good solution to this would be to put a direct link to the latest release, front and centre on the download page. At the moment, this would be pre3.0 but obviously it'd have to be updated every time there's a new release.
This adds a bit of overhead, unfortunately, but maybe there's some way to automate it smartly or something, so it always gets the highest number tag (which'll then break after we're done with pre-releases). For what it's worth for this, the attached file will always have the same name, no version numbers there, so if you can get the appropriate tag, the rest is easy enough to do.
If it can't be automated, that's fine too, the overhead isn't a huge deal.
Also, when this is done, a few minor copy changes to match up
I think instead of Project Releases we should call it Game Releases
This link should go in some Latest Release section or button. Might be nice to have brief install instructions in this section ("Make sure you unzip the contained folder to somewhere new and not protected, i.e. not Program Files or your steam version of the game")
The existing releases section should be renamed/redescribed to release history, where people can download previous releases.
