Synchronization with Telegram server by command

How can I synchronize a device with the Telegram server by command, and not with a specified time period in the myBot.setUpdateTime() function?
This function works fine, no problems. But I need requests to the server to go according to my command, and not with a set period of time... That is, I will have some kind of flag by which synchronization with the server will occur, is this possible?
