Rationale

Creating access control policies will ensure that staff and partner institutions have appropriate permissions, enhancing security while facilitating collaboration through direct file access.

Outcomes

  • Granular Access Control

Fine-tuned access controls, enabling permissions at various levels. Staff and partner institutions have appropriate access to the data they need without compromising security. For instance, administrators can have full access while general staff may have read-only permissions.

  • Collaboration with Partner Institutions

We will be able to provide partner institutions with accounts, allowing them to access their files directly. This will strengthen our partnerships by allowing easier data sharing and collaboration.

  • Direct File Access

CloudBerry Drive allows staff and partner institutions to map storage as a local drive on their computers. This means they can access, upload, and manage files directly from their desktop environment, simplifying workflows and enhancing productivity. Users can drag and drop files, making it easier to manage large datasets without needing to navigate through web interfaces.
