The current front-end experience shows some of the constraints of a school project (most specifically being a one-page dashboard) with limited time. Additionally, Bootstrap 5 is on the horizon, which has reduced JS dependencies and provides some nice responsive helpers. Finally, there are more data types I would like to visualize, and the current experience for filtering in/out the NMNH is incomplete.

TODO:

  • Better responsible embedding, using Bootstrap's layout and aspect-ratio classes
  • Make an overview page adding some of the narrative of the data and providing an overview on why NMNH is split from other data
  • Have tabs/similar for different views, including Overview, NMNH, and everything other than NMNH
  • Add taxonomy visualization for NMNH
  • Have stats update for NMNH vs not
