On behalf of the community, in this bug I will note the parts that I saw live on 8ch.net, but which are not a part of infinity source code.
My motivation on keeping this log up to date is that I maintain an infinity fork ( https://github.com/vichan-devel/infinity ) and vichan ( https://github.com/vichan-devel/vichan ), which is an upstream to infinity, and I want to synchronize changes and synchronize upcoming code refactors. Not cooperating on this part may cause a fork that may be hard to recover from making further cooperation between members of vichan/infinity development community and 8chan development staff.
The last source code release from 8chan happened on 9th of February 2016.
Please do note, that there is no obligation on 8chan part to release any part of the source. The fork I manage is still going to release the sources in a form of git commits, that can be backported to 8chan proper, but backporting burden will lie solely on the hands of 8chan development staff and it's not an easy job (it actually gets harder as the fork divergence increases).
The core parts, that are not open source yet:
alacrity integration code
embed video pop-out
log.php ipv6 fix
oAuth support
Optional parts (I wish they were open source, but they may be actually considered "an implementation detail"):
new captcha
n/config.php - custom config making it possible to run a newsboard on alternative instances
infrastructure configuration files - making it easier to run higher performance versions of infinity
Parts that got reimplemented in vichan-devel/infinity:
board banner system

The implementation of infinity on 8ch.net is owned by N.T. Technology, Inc, a US corporation incorporated in Nevada. Although I created 8chan in 2013, I have not owned it since January 2015, when its domain was transferred to the ownership of NTT.
Any release would have to be coordinated with N.T. Technology, Inc. and not with me. At present, this repository exists for historical reasons only. If and only if the Board of N.T. Technology Inc directs me, I will update it - doing so without Board approval would break contracts both formal and informal with NTT.
